How do you make your own pizza with store-bought dough?
Question by Ryan Z: How do you make your own pizza with store-bought dough?
Okay, so I want to make my own pizza with some friends. I am getting all store-bought ingredients but don't know how to actually compose a pizza out of them. Any recipes or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I need specifics i.e) temperature, cooking time, ingredients, utensils. Thank you!

Need: oven mitt, pizza pan, rolling pin, spatula, and all the ingredients to make the pizza with.
Shape dough in pizza pan, add pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.
Bake at 475 after cheese has melted check bottom of pizza by lifting it with the spatula to make sure it is not over baked. Timing differs depending on size of pizza, thickness and the amount of toppings you put on it. Good luck

It’s really easy, even to make it from scrach. I make pizza dough and sauce from scratch and it turns out awesome.

That’s the dough I make.
You can make your own pizza sauce by mixing tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and garlic powder. i just mix it to what i like, so i don’t have specific measurements, sorry.
anyway, if you’re buying store-bought ingredients, knead the dough, roll it out on a cutting board or wax paper, put it on your pizza pan, then put your sauce and whatever toppings, then sprinkle on the cheese. i think you heat the oven to 425-450, check the package the dough comes in just in case.
but i definately think making it from scratch tastes better
Let dough or shells come to room temperature.
Brush shell with vegetable oil or olive oil (to avoid sogginess), then add your favorite toppings.
At least two or three cheeses (Mozzarella, provolone, feta, Parmesan), sliced tomatoes, (fresh is good after baked),
mushrooms
pepperoni,
chorizo,
ham,
ground beef. precooked
, thinly sliced onions,
red or green pepper rings,
fresh herbs (basil, marjoram, coriander, thyme.
. Bake in preheated oven 450 to 500 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.
if the crust is a premade ready formed crust all you need to do is top it…
put sauce on then whatever your favorite toppings are…
sausage/mushrooms/pepperoni/black olives/peppers/onions/etc…then you put your cheese on …
bake in oven 375-400 for 40ish min till cheese is nice and melted and crust is crispy the way you want
if its actually a dough, ( like in a box ) you will of course remove it from box and unroll it from the paper its usualy in….then make sure to flatten it and if need be roll it out some more. ( most packages will tell you how to do it )
then from there place on your pizza stone/pan….then top with your ingredients sauce being the first…all the rest…cheese being the last..
the box will tell you how long it needs to be baked for thorough cooking…usualy about 425 for 45ish minutes…
a rolling pin or you could use your hands to spread the dough out. Put down some flour on a on a flat surface like a countertop and proceed to place the dough in the flour and with the heel of your hands spread the dough out . you will likely have to do this several times to get the dough to stay stretched out. if when you go to place the dough on the pizza pan it still sticks to your surface add some more flour to make it less sticky.
the next thing you want to do is spread your pizza sauce over the dough. try to spread it as evenly as you can edge to edge on the pizza. Once you have done that then you want to spread the mozzarella cheese over the pizza. you want shredded mozzarella for this about 2-4 cups depending on how much cheese you want also save some cheese to top your pizza with at the end.
You will want to chop any toppings that you intand to put on your pizza into approximately bite size pieces except the pepperoni which should be in round slices (the thickness for those slices is up to you or you could buy them pre sliced which is much easier) you then want to make sure your oven is preheated to 450 degrees. after putting the toppings on the pizza place the pizza pan into the oven for approximately 18-20 minutes at about the 15 minute mark you will want to check the pizza and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of your pizza so it can melt. at about the 18 minute mark or so take the pizza out of the oven and push back some of the toppings so you can see the crust, if the crust looks a bit grey it’s done and is ready to cut and eat, if not check it again in about a minute. using a pizza cutter cut the pizza into however many pieces you want and witha spatula serve the pizza..
